I find that when I get onto the freeway the ASL compensation isn't large enough and I still have to manually increase volume and then decrease it again after I get off the freeway. In my BMW I don't have that problem because it allows you to change the compensation level (I can have the volume go up a lot or change it so that the volume only goes up a little.)
