Jeff
Hi All, I checked the search and could not locate this subject. My 96 LS400 seems to be louder during the engine warming up and under engine load (higher rpm's) than when at normal operating temperature. Has anyone seen or know of a common place for the LS exhaust to start leaking ? seems to be passenger side front, but hard to tell and onle last a few minutes. The car is excellent with 133K on it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
cruznroadking
Sounds like the egr pipe may be leaking. It's located between the back of engine & the firewall near the passenger front. It usually start as a small crack & you will hear an exhaust noise when cold. It goes away when the engine is warmed up.
