Bubbles Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 I was wondering if there are any good aftermarket ignition wires for a 2jz-ge motor. I have a 92 sc300, but I can't find a good one. My bro has an mr2 and he got these Nology Ignition wires and he notices a higher responsiveness in his 5s-fe motor. Besides that, are there any other good mods for engines that doesn't have to deal with exhausts and intakes? I'm not the kind of person who goes up to redline everyday.
AWJ Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 The only reason non oem wires would be run is on an amplified ignition system where shielding and large core wires would become necessary to avoid emi and burning up. Unless someone would want to have some nice colors or thick wires under the hood for appearance. My car runs oem ignition at a max 20 pounds. Spark plug wires will have nothing to do with performance and everything to do with durability. But to answer the question - any kit for a 93 to 96 supra non turbo should work. Or get the cut your own kits.
