chrispiss Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 After I have driven my car for a while so that it's warmed up (like when I go to the store or something) and then leave it sitting for 15-45 minutes and come back and start it, I get this weird kind of quiet, low roar sound coming from the rear. It usually lasts 5-10 seconds then goes away. The sound doesn't happen if I turn it off then start it back up immediately, or if I start it back up after an hour or so or overnight or something, it's specifically in that 15-45 minute window. (give or take a few minutes on either end) I have rushed out of the car to try and figure out where it's coming from and it sounds like maybe the exhaust, but while you're in the car it sounds like it's coming from the driver side rear wheel area..I don't get it. Does anyone else have this problem or is it a common thing? btw it's a 93 es300 with 76k on it
steviej Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 I am thinking fuel pump, which is in the tank under the rear seat area. steviej
chrispiss Posted March 28, 2005 Author Posted March 28, 2005 ooh I never thought of that. Would this be a sign it's going out? I hope not, because that sounds expensive.
