Cruez Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 Hello all, Hopefully a first time Lexus owner soon. Looked at a GS 400 last night and the car seems to be in good shape.. except for a couple of things.. When the car is is "M" mode, a dash light is flashing the letter "M" ... I tried using the buttons on the steering wheel an nothing happens. There is a slight shimmy around 50-60 mph. I currently drive an '91 SHO Taurus which the GS will be replacing. Its a fairly quick car also. I know the 400 is putting out 300 hp... when I drove the car last night for some reason it didn't seem that quick "by the seat of the pants" that I expected. Sure its a quick car for its weight but you don't get the this car seemed to be working fine with no hesitation or anything..... is it because the engine is not overflowing with torque?? Have to admit though... The GS 400 is a very nice driving car. :D
SW03ES Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 The difference you're probably seeing is the smoothness and refinement of the GS showing through. I've noticed with all Lexus, they're so smooth they're deceptively fast. That is, they dont feel fast, but they are. You'll definately have to watch for speeding tickets.
