Urs Jakob Posted June 21, 2003 Posted June 21, 2003 My 92 Manual SC400 starts up fine cold. However, If I drive for about five minutes and shut off the engine and try to restart, it stalls. The engine rpms to about 1000 for about two seconds then stalls. It does that usually 3-5 trys before maintaining a good idle. I've checked the engine codes and it is normal. NO codes. The lexus dealer said the fuel pump and the fuel pump ecu are both okay. THANKS for ANY input.
AWJ Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 I know you say that the recommended items have been ruled out. But it sounds a lot like that pesky fuel pump ecu. I'd look for a second opinion. Check fuel related relays, fuses, make sure all the standard tune-up items are working correctly and in the proper condition and go from there. It is too difficult to diagnose exactly the problem on the internet. We can only recommend.
