Let me know. ← You want to mount it up high anywhere there is an un-obstructive view, especially to the rear! I put mine right under the rear view mirror.... Oh yea, you are going to love this radar detector!! once you get used to the arrows and such, you wonder how you got along without them! johnbmech Posted February 17, 2005 Share Posted February 17, 2005 I wired mine to the hot wire for the overhead map lamp. Remove the plastic lens, unscrew the lamp assembly & tie into the 12 volt wire . The Valentine power adapter will fit up in the roof liner. jazzsax Posted February 17, 2005 Share Posted February 17, 2005 I also mounted it in that area. There were 2 things that slowed me down; removing the light takes 4 screws and 2 were hidden (can't remember exactly but it was under the light?), and the other was finding the right wire for 12V ACC.
