terryesh
Locking or unlocking using the key remote is inconsistent. I find that I have to approach the driver side at the side window level to get it to activate. This is leading me to believe that the battery in the key needs to be replaced. First, is there a battery in the key? I removed the screw at the shank of the key to gain access. The halves do not come apart even after applying moderate pressure by sliding a thin screwdriver around the edge. After reading other posts about replacement keys, I do not want to create more problems and expense by damaging the key. Second, What is the trick to gaining access to the battery? Thank you. lovlex
the battery is inside the key. after taking the screw out, separate the two halves. it will take some pressure to open if it has not been open in a while, due to dirt and grime inside the key, gluing it together. Do you know if you have to reprogram the wireless key lock feature after replacing the battery?
AzHotLS
I didn't have to when replacing them on my 90LS400. I wouldn't expect you'd have to either.
