sarihiari Posted December 20, 2004 Share Posted December 20, 2004 A noticed recently two problems: Engine Noise (possibly transmission): When I floor it I hear a harsh sound like I am driving an older car with a V8 engine. This is only when I am driving (i.e. the gear is on D), as I hear a smooth rev up to 6000rpm when I am on P. What is causing this? How to solve it? Shimmying and swaying: My car suddenly developped this alarmin shimmying and sawying when I drive over a rough road, the car goes left right and feels really dangerous to drive. Would changing the shocks/struts solve this? Suggestions. ----------------- It is worth mentioning that about 4 months ago, I hit a rather high pavement and fixed the car, and drove a really long way continously (road trip about 1K miles) with no problems.
