cashmoney Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 I want Cry... cause i'm waiting for Crankshaft Seal for 1 month.. that's means my car. park for 1 month... then after put New Timing Belt and Crankshaft Seal... My car....engine light ON.....Trac light on and off.....and the whole Car no have Power........I'm so worry......when i was driving... someone Help me Plz
bartkat Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 The car has no power because it has gone into "limp mode". There is something wrong and the ECU is telling the engine not to run full power so it protects the engine. I would guess the timing belt may be not on correctly. Are you sure the new belt is on with the cam pulleys in exactly the same position as the old one? The realtionship between the crank pulley and the cam pulley must be correct for the valve timing to be correct. I will look for something to help with this on some other forums and come back. I have sent you an email. If you reply, I can send info by PDF file.
