Brad T Posted September 4 Share Posted September 4 Searched for this topic and didn't find it in the 430 section so... A day or so ago, while my 17 yr old daughter was driving the LS430, the vehicle through a P0306 code. Symptoms: rough idle, drove like it lost a cylinder, limp mode (minimal power). She came home crying cause she knew she broke Dad's ride. After comforting her, I pulled up a few Lexus forums and searched for P0306. Consistently, three issues surfaced. Spark Plugs, Coils and less often Injectors. P0306 is a misfire in cylinder 6. So I started with the least expensive and changed the spark plug with a Denso Iridium and it had no effect - so my issue isn't the plug. The old plug looked good... Next up the ignition coil, replaced it with a Denso coil and the vehicle smoothed out, misfire gone. I think I spent more time searching threads than I did wrenching.
