Dealers trash Build Lexus

We live in SC and have been using the Lexus web site to Build a Lexus RX 350 H, which is built in Canada.  Our dealers are saying it will take about 8 months for the car to be built and that we should instead buy from their inventory, except that they don’t have any RX 350 hybrids.  I am willing to go to Canada to pick up the car, but does it really take 8 months?!

Have you checked to see if any dealerships within say, a 500-mile radius has the vehicle you wish to buy? When we reserved our RX400h, we had to wait one year. Of course, it was well worth the wait.
