There could be several reasons why this might be happening:

  1. Dirty or clogged condenser: The air conditioning condenser sits at the front of the vehicle and is responsible for releasing the heat from the refrigerant into the ambient air. Over time, grime, bugs, and other small particles can build up on its surface and in the gaps of its mesh. This hinders the condenser’s ability to release heat as less air passes through the mesh, which results in poor cooling in the interior.

  2. Dirty cabin air filter: A dirty filter can cause the overall ventilation of the interior to deteriorate, resulting in reduced cooling, heating, and air flow. It also puts unnecessary strain on the entire AC system.

  3. Faulty components: There could be a fault in the electrical system, a defective compressor, a faulty blend door actuator, or a bad blower motor.

Given these possibilities, it would be best to have your vehicle checked by a professional. They can diagnose the exact cause of the problem and suggest the appropriate solution. If your vehicle is still under warranty, you might want to contact your Lexus dealer for assistance. Please remember that this advice is based on general knowledge and might not be entirely accurate for your specific situation.
