Need Help: Aftermarket Rear Calipers for 1998 Lexus LS400

Hey fellow Lexus enthusiasts,

I’m diving into a brake system update on my beloved 1998 Lexus LS400 and could really use your collective wisdom. I’ve got all my OEM parts lined up: front rotors, front pads, front calipers, rear rotors, and rear pads. But here’s the catch – I’ve hit a roadblock because the OEM rear calipers are no longer available.

After chatting with a helpful soul at a Lexus dealership, it’s clear I need to explore aftermarket options. Here’s where I need your sage advice:

    1.    Do you know any aftermarket rear calipers that play nice with OEM rotors and pads?
    2.    For these aftermarket calipers, do I need to hunt down dust boots, sliding bushings, and pad wear indicators separately, or do they come included?

Your recommendations on brands or specific models, plus any tips on making sure everything fits together seamlessly, would be invaluable. I’m all ears for your suggestions to keep my LS400 stopping on a dime.

Look into BREMBO Brakes, Never heard anything bad about Brembo and Lexus. I am no expert

Thanks for the tip! I’ve looked around but haven’t been able to find new Brembo calipers, just some used ones on eBay. Maybe I’m missing something. I did spot some remanufactured ones at Advanced Auto Parts, so that might be my backup plan. Really appreciate your input on this!
