How do I program garage remote control to Homelink for 450h?

I did this year a ago for my 2015 RX450h and my wife has now bought one but I forget which process worked. I have tried all the YouTube videos I could find, most having to do with pushing the first and third Homelink buttons to reset and then press the remote control and the Homelink button you want at the same time. I have an old Genie garage opener and a Genie Universal remote. Any ideas people? And yes I should have written the solution down. Thank you.

I assume you ended up figuring it out?  From your description, it sounds like you may have missed the Learn mode part if you have a Genie with a rolling code.  Hopefully, by now it's all resolved.

You need this:

Garage Door Opener LiftMaster 855LM Homelink Repeater Kit

~$40

 

I just did this the other day, took 2m.

 

Clear your homelink in the car.

 

Program the HL Bridge remote to whatever # opener in the car.

 

Press the LEARN button on the garage opener. Within 30s, press and hold the button you wish to program in the car til the garage lights blink.

 

Repeat as needed.
