tboneriffic Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Anyone know the cost of this at a California dealership or private shop? I don't think it's been done on mine and is now at 107K miles. Shifts great atm with no issues but I'm a preventative planner.
Dean2 Posted February 19 Posted February 19 It would be a lot faster and easier to call the dealership and a couple of shops and get a quote. Might take a whole 10 minutes, and you will have something current and accurate. Make sure whoever does it knows how to properly do this. It isn't as simple as just drain and fill, far from it actually.
RX400h Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Quote Changing the automatic transmission fluid in a 2007 Lexus ES 350 3.5L V6 involves several steps12: Drain the transmission fluid: This is typically done by removing the drain plug located on the transmission pan. Install a new pan gasket and filter (if replaceable): After draining the old fluid, a new gasket and filter are usually installed. Add the proper type and quantity of transmission fluid: The Lexus ES 350 uses Toyota WS ATF1. The fluid must be added slowly as it will fill up quickly and is difficult to remove excess fluid if you overfill3. Check for leaks: After the new fluid has been added, it’s important to check for any potential leaks. Test drive the vehicle: This helps to ensure that the transmission is functioning properly with the new fluid. Please note that the Lexus ES 350 has a fill plug and an overflow drain plug on the transaxle. The fluid must be checked via the overflow drain plug with the vehicle running and the fluid temperature must be between 104-113°F1. This is a pretty complicated procedure that might need to be done by a dealer1. The cost for a transmission fluid service for a 2007 Lexus ES350 3.5L V6 in California is estimated to start from $337. This service typically includes the replacement of the pan gasket, filter, and transmission fluid1. Please note that prices may vary depending on your location and the specific service provider. It’s always a good idea to get a few quotes before making a decision.
