2007 Lexus Es350 stalling any ideas? Any help is appreciate!

I’m coming on here as sort of a last resort and hope someone can help me. I own a 2007 Lexus ES350 and have been having car issues for the past couple of months and have been in and out of the mechanic since this issue first started back in April and my mechanic has no idea what the problem is and basically told me to deal with it in the nicest way possible. Basically when my car comes to a stop it stalls and goes into accessory mode, it doesn’t happen all the time but a maybe 4 times a week based on how much I drive it(I only use my car to drive back and forth to college, gym, or errands so I don’t use it a lot) I’ve also noticed recently the tachometer needle will jump around when i’m driving and recently when I press the gas coming off a stop sign/red light my car wont go right away and will jerk then go. I know my mechanic tried changing filters and sensors and he did testing and the car came back perfect, he also drove it himself 30+ miles and said it was perfect for him. But the second I drive it, it happens. I just got a brand new alternator and battery about 1.5-2 years ago so I don’t think it has anything to do with that, I’m just hoping someone has an idea of what this problem is or if I should start looking for a new car thank you!

Also do you think I should bring my car to a Lexus dealership? I would prefer my mechanic but let me know!

Many years ago, I had some strange drivability issues with my 1989 Mazda MX6 GT. My local mechanic could not figure out what was wrong, so I called a few Mazda dealerships in town to see if any of their mechanics had experience with my 20+ year old car. I did find a dealership that was about 20 miles away, and sure enough the old mechanic spotted the issue after keeping the car, overnight. It was the distributor, so he replaced it and my beloved MX6 was back to normal.

So my advice is to call some Lexus dealerships and speak with the service consultants. Describe your issues but don't be surprised if their initial response is "C'mon in and we'll take a look." Your car is not that old so my guess is that one of the mechanics has experienced the same symptoms before. They are more likely to have done so than an independent mechanic who services many brands and models of vehicles.

Did you ever get this figured out? Mine was doing something similar and I put a new air filter in and put some carbon burning fuel additive in the tank and it has never done it again..
