lovlex
i've been looking at a 93 lexus ls 400 with 97,000 miles at a dealer. the car looks and runs like new. the dealer will give you a 3 months bumper to bumper warranty with The Eagle Warranty Corp. free or you can pay extra for a two year warranty. do you think it's wise to buy the warranty or just take the free 3 month's warranty? at a 100,000, is it time for a lot of maintenance? is this a good warranty company? thanks, adam
austinls
It somewhat depends on the cost. I would pay $1000-$1200 for a 2 year warranty on an 11 year old car. I can almost assure you something will go wrong. The gauges going black in cold weather will cost $400-$500 (an inherent problem in Gen II models.) Do your due dilligence on the warranty company. If it is real, take advantage of it.
