gshum3k
Can a first generation ls400 handle slightly larger tires? I have a set of four good 215 / 65 / r 15 tires and im hoping that i can just swap them for the bald tires my car has now. If it is possible, how much will it effect the spedo? SRK
I have that size on my 92 at the moment. They work fine, nice ride, still handles well. Michelin XGT-H4 Pilots. You will have no problems at all. Speedo change is just under 2% slower.
1990LS400
Not that it matters to you since you already have a set of 215/65-15's, but 225/60-15's also work well on the 90-92 OEM wheels and do not introduce speedometer error. There are no clearance issues and the 225's extra width provides much better braking than those little 205/65-15 tires.
