will wheels that fit 97+ sc400 also fit earlier model years? i have a 92 and i saw these rims on ebay that said they fit 97+ sc400 and 01+ is300

specs:

5 x 114.3 bolt pattern

front:

18x8 38mm offset

rear:

18x9 35mm offset

They will fit. but those offsets are high. SC3/4 runs +50 oem. They might rub somewhere and the handling will be affected.

I have a buddy that is running 18x9 +45 all around on his 92 sc400. The front is more aggressive than your 18x8 +35 so you should be OK in the front. It is less aggressive in the rear but the rear can take more so you should be OK too. I also know of someone who has run 18x9.5 +45 which is similar to 18x9 +39. This is pretty close (4mm) to your setup too.

The offsets on the wheels in question will actually push them out more towards the fender than OEM. I think AWJ is concerned about fender rub. If that's the case, adding a spacer will only make it worse. ;)
