2016 Lexus GX 460 APPS

I have a BASE GX and thought I could just use an app like I had with Toyota, think it was called Scout or something to have navigation come up on my screen and thought Enform or something would do that but I don't see anything online that seems to fit. So I called dealer and they say no, it needs to be a new console or screen. Even called an after market place and they said to have Apple play or Android Play they would have to put in a module that would cost about 1,215 dollars! So are there any other options other than just using my phone or tablet screen? And when I hit APPS on my dashboard buttons, has a few but lots of empty slots. What other APPS can you load in there and how would you load them? Can anyone give any guidance or am I SOL? Thanks in advance-----Mark
