BadBrad
Why would you change out the lens? If yours are hazy I have a quick and easy polishing tip.

Arizona
I would NOT use sand paper, steel wool, etc ------------ use Novus-2 fine scratch remover (800-548-6872), I have, works GREAT… Not sure what your problem is but it is common to get a “fogging” (this is in fact hard water stains) on the outside lens of the headlights which Novus 2 takes off with very little effort --- the lens looking like new… There is a posting, about 2 months back that goes into more detail…
Arizona
Forgot to mention I found a bottle of Novus-2 for $10.oo, delivered, on EBAY...
BadBrad
Polish your headlight lens with Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish by hand using terri cloth. Follow up with regular plastic polish from Mothers or Maguires. The Mag polish is strong enough to remove the haze but not damaging to the plastic. I really was astounded at how well this works. I read the tip in Car Craft Magazine a few months back - then tried it.
