Back door operation for RX400H 2006

Hi Forum,

Just bought used  RX400H 2006 and trying to figure out how i can setup backdoor opening without unlocking car before. Google search didn't return any useful information. Manual says " The back door can be set to be opened without being unlock first - ask you Lexus Dealer ford details" 

Is it really only dealer can change how to unlock back door? no internet hacks? 😉 

 

on the same topic also want to have all doors opened when i press my remote

Its a safety feature.  I don't think you can change it.  Just curious how many miles on your RX?  What's your average MPG?

i got it with 160K and my milage is around 20-22 mostly city driving.

I remember from when ours was new that there are certain changes to functions that only the dealership can do. There could be an electronic tool that they plug into the OBD II port, that is now available to the public.
