airbob
My check engine light came on at 11,000 miles. Is this common?
Lexusfreak
Check with your owners manual (Under "check engine light") for this condition but it's most likely (due to the newness & mileage of the car) something simple like the gas cap not being completely tightened untill you hear the "clicking" when it's on tight (that the most obvious & easiest thing to check). If that's not the problem others on hear will suggest something else.......no worries as the car is under full factory warranty anyways so if it's something a bit more serious, it will be covered! steviej
take it to your dealer and have them read the code that is causing the CEL. There are tons of electronic sensors on your car and anyone could have triggered the CEL. Like Lexusfreak said, its under warranty so use the warranty. It costs you nothing, and they wash the car for you. steviej
