Blue Tooth/Hand Free Distortion 2010 Lexus IS 250

I have a 2010 IS 250 that has distortion on the vehicle (my) end when placing phone calls. The person on the opposite end hears me fine without distortion, when they talk I hear about every other word if even that. I first suspected faulty speakers, but using the stereo and all other functions speakers are very clear. I use the same phone in our newer Lexus and it connects to it and works fine. I have removed the car from my phone blue tooth options and reconnected. Still have the same issue.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
