How To Release Caliper Pistons?

I am putting new pads and rotors on the front and back. I am not getting enough travel of the piston for the new rotors to fit between the pads. Anyone got some tips/tricks they could share??

There are 2 large bolts that appear to be some sort of slider. Dou you need to loosen those up to get the extra travel?

I did my brakes last month. I used a large C-clamp and a piece of metal across the pistons to squeeze them back into the caliper. Worked like a charm. Just make sure your brake fluid level isn't too high or it'll spill out of the master cylinder when you tighten the clamp. That'll give you plenty of clearance.

Did you also use the C clamp to push out the side that holds the outer pad?

Not sure what you mean by that question. There's only one set of pistons per caliper.
