'platinum' Lexus Extended Warranty

for those of you who bought a 'Platinum' Lexus Extended Warranty 7 yr / 100K miles for GS300, how much is it?

My GS has couple more months of factory warranty and I am thinking about the extended warranty.

also what does it not cover that a brand new Lexus factory warranty cover? (want to know the difference between the two)

I bought that plan for my gs400 and paid about $1725 for it. In my opinion it's worth every cent. To see what it covers, log onto the lexus website and all the info should be there. If not, go to your dealer and get a brochure on the extended plans. Basically the platinum covers everything! You won't lose......

Extended warranty prices are like window stickers. The prices are not solid. You should be able to negotiate somewhat.
