Profez Rick Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Hey everyone, I am new to the forums and I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. No, I don't have a Lexus YET, but hopefully soon to come. Well I have a few questions for all you pro's out there. - I found a 2001 Lexus IS300 in great condition for 18,000... is that a good price? or.. not to bright with the whole lexus deal. - How is insurance for a IS300..? - Anyone know any good sites for like carbon fiber hoods and such? (no not trying to rice it up..) - oh and... does the is300 use Regular gas? or the higher ones?
bartkat Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 That price sounds high, but depends on mileage. It's about the retail for a really nice one. Go to www.edmunds.com and get the true market value for your area. Remember that when the 2005 models come in, the 2001 prices will drop. Insurance depends mostly on your area and your age. It can range from $800 to more than $2000 per year, depending. As for hoods and other mods, you should probably wait till you get your car, then select a mod theme, and make a plan as to what to do first. The IS300 uses premium grade (at least 91 octane) gas.
