coolptnr Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 I bought the 98 es with am/fm cassette and am looking to put in a CD changer. Besides going to the dealer and giving them my firstborn, are there other options in getting and installing a changer? Will aftermarket brands work just as well? Or am I better off biting the bullet with the dealer...any help will be appresciated. Regards Coolptnr
PIONEERSUBY Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 LEXUS RADIOS TALK TO THE CD CHANGER AND WILL ONLY TALK TO FACTORY ONES. SO FACTORY CHANGERS ONLY RECOURSE FOR THE BEST SOUND. USED CHANGERS ARE AVAILABLE BUT THEY ARE GETTING 7 YEARS OLD NOW SO BETTER IF YOU CAN FIND A DEAL ON A NEW ONE.
coolptnr Posted August 28, 2004 Author Posted August 28, 2004 Thanks alot for your input Pioneersuby...was hoping you'd reply. Are dealers the only place where i can get a new one, or are there other sources you can recommend? CP
