Camping setup

I'm trying to determine if I can leave the rear door of the GX470 open overnight while camping. I'm looking to put a tarp over it and create a campsite using the car. Is there a way to trick the car in to thinking the door is closed or at least turn off the courtesy lights on the other doors? I know there is a cargo light switch but there are additional light that illuminate that seem to stay on. I'd rather not drain the battery, which really is the point of my question.

Have you thought about pulling the proper fuse?
