Changing Distributor Caps/rotors

Hello all...contemplating some tune up work soon and have a question about replacing the caps and rotors. I have 120K on my '90 LS and while it is running fine right now I want to be prepared to have all the parts I need when I break it down. Is there a recommended interval for rreplacing the caps and rotors/wires?

Thanks.

just change them, rotors are 8$ each and cups are 11 or 12$ each. these parts tend to have carbon buildup on the metal connectors thus making cunductivity smaller and your spark is getting weaker. it is worth changing them when you going to do the tuneup.
