jaz Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 My ac is freezing once I am moving but when I am at a stand still or driving in the city it is not as cool. I do have a pair of small fog lights on my grille guard, could this be obstructing the air flow? I live in Houston so it is very hot and humid. It seems to happen only on the hottest days.
alanc Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 I was experiencing a similar problem with my 96lx450 recently. My mechanic said the belt was loose. He ended up putting new belts on since they were starting to crack, but now my a/c works great even when sitting in traffic. Good luck!
GlennR Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Same problem with my 2002 LX470 - it seems that the A/C works one way in local stop & go driving and another on the highway, as if the actual temperature setting is not relevant. Plan on asking my service tech when I take it in - I'll let you know.
