blue ridge
My recently purchased 2001 Lexus GS 300 had 18,700 miles at time of purchase with Bridgestone Turanzas. I believe they are the original tires. The salesman said the car would be sold with tires that had at least 60% tread left. These tires have 6/32 left. Assuming the tires had 10/32 when new and they will have to be replaced at approx. 3/32, my math says these don't have 60% tread left. These tires have a treadwear rating of 140. If they have 60% tread left, they will have to make it to 40,000 miles. I don't see any way for that to happen. Before I argue with the dealer, I wanted to get some feedback. Thanks. Dr. D
You are the lead here. Just tell them with new tires it's a deal. If not walk away and wait till they call you back.
