knovot
Ok, I currently have an Infiniti G35 Coupe. I'm starting a business and need to sell my car for some start-up cash so I've been looking around for cars. I want to buy a RELIABLE car but still a nice car. I can't drive a honda civic....I found a 96 SC300 with 92k miles. The gentleman wants $8k for it which I think is reasonable. I know these cars have a timing belt which will need to be changed but is there any other regular maintenance with a car around 100k miles? I plan on taking the VIN to Lexus dealership to see what has been done and if they used the dealership. Any advice will be helpful, Thanks, Kenny
lexxus
If that car has a clear title, that is a very good deal. It is time to change the timing belt, although folks on this board told me that they went as long as 140K on the original belt. It is non-interference, which means that it won't blow the motor if it breaks. You're getting a 96 for the price of a 92.
