92lexus300ak Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 Thanks for all the help previously with the other issue. My 1992 Lexus (bought 1 day ago!) seems to have developed moisture drops in the inside of the right tail lights and the AC control panel inside the car. HELP??
amf1932 Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 My Lexus dealer changed the right Tail Lamp Assembly on my '94 ES while the car was still under warranty. I was told that the gasket dried up, hence the moisture drops inside the lens. I think you can buy the gasket to make this repair from Lexus, otherwise it's an expensive deal to buy the complete assembly. As far as the moisture in the AC panel, I can't help you there. Are you sure this car was never submerged? I would run a Carfax to check this out. Alan
92lexus300ak Posted May 14, 2003 Author Posted May 14, 2003 I did run a carfax and it was clean with all service done at the dealer till 99k. I will look into replacing the tail gasket. re: the AC panel, it turns out it is not moisture but the display is simply smudged (looks like someone used a strong solvent to try and clean). Do you know where I can get replacements?
