Can anyone out there tell me who makes the speaker, the size and how to take the door panel off so I Can replace it. sgriffith Posted July 8, 2004 Share Posted July 8, 2004 The "Lexus Premium" sound system is, according to crutchfield.com, a pioneer system. This makes sense b/c I know toyota uses them a lot. For the Lexus Premium sound system, the front door speakers show to be 6 1/2" speakers. An easy way to find replacement speakers for the vehicle is to go to crutchfield.com. There you can specify your vehicle and it will show you what will fit in your Lexus. Let me know if you have problems finding it....b/c I am looking at it as I type this. customrx Posted July 11, 2004 Share Posted July 11, 2004 THE SIZE OF THE FACTORY DOOR DRIVER IS A 6 1/2" IT IS A 2 OHM SPEAKER THAT YOU CAN ONLY GET FROM THE DEALER...IF YOU WANT TO GET AN AFTER MARKET SPEAKER,(THAT YOU ONLY CAN GET IN A 4 OHM! )YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE ALL THE SPEAKERS AND GET AN AFTERMARKET AMP TO REPLACE THE FACTORY THEN YOU WILL GET THE SAME SOUND OR BETTER THEN FACTORY DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH YOU SPEND...IF YOU NEED HELP TAKING THE DOOR PANAL OFF LET ME KNOW....I THINK YOU SHOULD GO TO A LOCAL AUDIO SHOP FOR INSTALL......
