Dom0324
hey i have a question i have a 1999 Lexus Es300 getting code p0500 - Vehicle Speed Sensor "A" also my traction light is on those are the only lights on. I have changed both sensors on the transmission under the air box and i have also change the one that also sits a little on the front side of the transmission casing. However I am still getting the same code. When driving my rpms are at about 3500 at 60-65 mph. Also its shift points are real erratic like it doesn't know what gear it is in. Sometimes it will drive fine hitting all 4 gears usually when the car is still cold or when i step on the throttle slow, most times it won't. my speedometer sometimes drops to zero not often but sometimes. Now when i connected my car to a scan tool the scan tool was not able to read my abs system it was grayed out but read my ecm and my srs modules. Should i think my abs module is the cause or should i next look to replace my abs sensors or where should i start?
RX400h
I would not shoot in the dark to try to fix an issue like that. Do you have a code reader that has all the Toyota/Lexus codes?
