Air Conditioner Control Unit

Recommended Posts

I own a 92 Lexus SC 400. The air and heat have stopped working. The unit will not turn on. My mechanic found that the fuse for the unit was blown, but everytime he replaced the fuse it would blow again. He said there is obviously an eletrical short, and that it might be the control unit causing the problem. He will have to trace the problem next week.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it the control unit? If so, can I buy a used unit? Where from and approx. how much?

I have a '93 Lexus SC 400 and it is doing exactly the same thing as your AC unit. Did you ever figure out what was causing the fuse to blow when you turn the AC on? I was hoping that I would be able to find something on this forum to help me fix mine today. Where I live in Southern CA it is suppose to be 107 this afternoon and it would be nice if I had the AC working.

Thanks!
