rx330chick Posted June 18, 2004 Share Posted June 18, 2004 I have HID's on my 04 RX330, I was wondering what light output it has...as far as HID wattage. Is it 4000k,6000k,8000k? stryke Posted June 19, 2004 Share Posted June 19, 2004 I am in the HID business and can tell you that all cars in the US equipped with factory HID have either the Philips 4100K or OSRAM 4300K bulbs. Lexus uses the Philips I believe. Depending on your friends vehicle, she will not have the same look as you. The projector lens you have installed in the headlamp is responsible for bending the light and creating the "color effect" that you often see in BMW and Audi. Much like a diamond's fire giving off different colors, when you bend white light you break it up into the colors of the prism. Due to the blue's and purple's hitting your eye first you think that the light is that color. It's not, it is in fact white!
