  1. Wow that's hard to believe but I do know that when I had it checked a couple weeks back they mentioned that I needed and alignment so I'm taking it in in the next few days and we'll find out. THank you guys for your input.
  2. Do you really think that an alignment would fix this........ it really seems to shaky for that and why wouldn't it shake at other speeds?
  3. So i'm driving moderately at 70 k's and the car starts to shake like a fair bit, but any where under 60 or over 80 it runs just fine. Any one have any ideas, could it be my timing or spark issue? I do have to replace the main o2 sensor on passenger side, could this cause a shake at these speeds? :(
  4. Let us know if this helps in anyway. Thankyou so much for the pdf's. When I get my O2 sensor fixed, I will let you know if it relates to the trac code. The manual says if I have a 51 code, then I should fix all cel codes first. I know that I have a 28 code for cel, and am quite sure that this is the issue. Unfortunately, I went to get a safety test and I have to replace tie rod ends and rear pads and rotors and the shoes for the e-brake. When that's done I have to have an alignment done. roughly 700 bucks here at the shop to get it done. I'm going to tackle it myself though. The parts are only 150, cuz the car came with pads and rotors when I bought it last week. So I'm broke right now and the sensor is gonna have to wait. Thanks again for the help and I will let you know what happens.
  5. GOOD OLE DAYS HUH? :D hopefully i can't wear out my 92 ls.
  6. That's my next worry. Winter is just around the corner and I've fishtaled once in the rain already by accident. Oh well, I guess I'll have to avoid snowy hills and icy areas, Which is going to be next to impossible with Ontario winters. Maybe I'll find some old studded tires somewhere. Are chains even a conceivable option, I hope it doesn't come to that.
  7. In my LS experience, my cars' ability to chirp the tires is related to how old the tires are. I used to be able to make my '99 chirp the tire for bit with VSC turned off, but after I put new tires on, I can't make the tire chirp any more. It sounds like your car is performing just fine, and considering the low km's on your car, it's still got a lot of life left! It sounds like your car is performing just fine, and considering the low km's on your car, it's still got a lot of life left! Awesome thing to hear, thanks. :D :snoooorrrtttt:
  8. Thanks, I did check those times and I figured that most of the 4000 pounds would be in the front of the car. So I thought the rear would light up easier, but after reading the other posts I realise now that there are components in place to keep it from spinning its wheels as well.
  9. Thanks for the info that really helps. When I punch it in a straight line with the ect power button on, I get a small chirp so I`m happy with that. I didn`t realise the drive ratio and stall converter were sufficient enough to keep the car from lighting em up. :D
  10. Well This morning I went to get an emissions test done and to my amazement on the way there I looked at my dash and the trac off an cel lights were off. So I went to my emissions test and the lights came back on. But I'm happy to report that I passed my emissions test with flying colours. I`m now trying to figure out why those lights were off this morning and I think It has something to do with the fact that I cleaned my EGR valve thouroughly. So now I am going to change my O2 sensor and If that doesn`t clear it up, I`ll change the EGR sensor. I just figure that the trac light must correlate with the CEL cuz they were both off together and then came on together. So I`m hopeful it has something to do with the O2 sensor cuz the code for the CEL was 28. If anyone has had a code 51 for their trac light, I would love to hear about it.
  11. Thanks you guys for the info, I now know that my compression is normal and I passed my emissions test today with flying colors. :D
  12. See if this information will provide any help. That is a really useful guide for cel but my problem lies with the trac light being on for this code. If you have the troubleshooting pdf for trac light I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your help, I will use that info for my code 28 for cel light. ;)
  13. Thanks for the info, I hope to move Back to British Columbia soon and They have short winters there especially in Osoyoos, the only desert in Canada. I still want to know if I would be able to get a lot mor spin when the car was new or if this is normal. :D
  14. :D ......" code 51 (problem in Engine Control System - which I think is the EGR gas temp. sensor circuit).".... R U saying that the circuit is different than the sensor. If so, how would I go about checking the circuit? I cleaned the sensor yesterday when I cleaned the egr valve. If the circuit is different than the sensor would that mean I have an electrical problem? If so would it originate with ecu or ecm? Thanks, I haven't been able to find out much on this code, so your help is appreciated. :D :D :D
