  4. Well, the power steering pump's more like located to the left and I've replaced all of my pads couple of weeks ago. This queery noise's been heard quite a long time and I just couldn't fint out what is causing this noise...
  5. Greetings members. Here's the problem. After the start of the engine, when I slowly step on the gas and rotate the steering wheel to the left, I hear like "grrr...." sound coming from the front right wheel. Strange thing is, after I drove the car for 1-2 mins. it doesn't seem to make that queery sound again. Will it be my time for wheel bearing replacement? Your suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you.
  6. thank you members. i highly bought your precious advices.
  7. greetings members. anybody recommend Mobil-1 5w-30 on '95 LS400 instead of Toyota 5W-30? Which one's better? :P
  8. I can hear deep (Grrrrrr) noise at the front right wheel when I am making a left turn. And it's only happening at slow speed ( less than 30 miles an hour ). I have looked at all the bushings... they seem to be in good condition... I am thinking may be a ball joint? It can't be CV, because it doesn't have one. Thanks all.
  9. Hi members, When I start the engine and start to move the car, the sound (ghrrrrgggg... like scratching sound) comes from the front right wheel side. To be exact, when I hit a little gas and turn the wheel to left, it makes sound. The strange thing is that it doesn't make sound when I turn the wheel to right. Strange... Any ideas guys??? Please let me know!

  12. Members, Thank you for kind advices. This is what I've bought from www.sparkplugs.com - NGK Iridium Plug (Part No. IFR6T-11) $8.07/each But, I haven't checked my owner's manual for the exact number of the proper NGK plug to use. :( Do you think it'll create any problem? Thank again members.
  13. Bonjour Members, Can anyone tell me which brand spark plugs work best for '95 LS400? Well then, merci and avoir~ B)
  14. To moune, You said you had it done last year, if then, could you tell me what mileage do your car has and what year is your car? Thanks. To RFeldes, I've recently changed my batter and even checked its volts but, it seemed nothing wrong with the battery. (gave me 12.6Volts). Any thoughs? Thanks. To 90LS400Lexus, :cries: That's pretty expensive... Hmm... that sound the worst case... Members, If I happen to DIY, Can anyone at least tell me what other parts (like what exact gaskets... etc) do I need to ORDER (other than starter)? Also, do I need some kind of adhesive as well? Thanks again.
  15. Hi members, Can anyone help me out in replacing a starter for '95 LS400? :cries: I would be much appreciated if someone provide me with step by step instructions for replacing starter. (Reason for replacing starter: Everytime I try to start the engine, it makes "tick" noises... like 15-20 times... and gets started...) Any suggestions/advices would be thankful. my email address: hukim0@yahoo.com Thank you again.
  16. Hello members, Like I mentioned in the topic title, I was wondering what could be the best engine oil for '95 LS400 with 92K miles. Any thoughts members? Please let me know... :)
  17. That would be great if you can send me to hukim0@yahoo.com I would be much appreciated. :D
  18. I really appreciate your kind advices. Thank you everyone. Anyways, I went to Lexus dealer shop today and had estimations as follows. - Changing Timing Belt ($475.00) - Changing Timing Belt Idler Pulley ($485.00) - Changing Timing Belt Idler Pulley ($530) - Changing Timing Belt Tensioner ($460.00) - Changing Water Pump ($685.00) But, if I change all together at once, they said it would cost me $1,250.00. Hmm... honestly, I still think its too expensive when knowing that it only costs under $410.00 to buy above parts. Difference is ($1,250.00 - $410.00 = $840.00). Labor charge = $840.00. Is it worth it? What do you think guys. Shall I go for DIY? :)
  19. Hello members, I have '95 LS400; 93k miles; willing to change the timing belt. After gone through many timing belt changing forums, I've realized that it's quite pain in the butt to change it by myself (plus I dont' have much mechanical experience... :P ). So, I'm thinking about to go to Lexus dealer in town and let them to take care of my timing belt. I've also thought that it would be much better if I could replace my other old parts while changing the timing belt. Please provide me with following questions. 1. What EXACT other parts can be replaced when chainging timing belt? What are its approx. prices? 2. Shall I wait till 100k to change timing belt? 3. Would you recommend to go to Lexus dealers or do it by myself? Once again, thank you members and your recommendations will mean so much to me. Thanks. :D
  20. Hey skperformance, How do I check to see my power steering pump's leaking? If it's leaking, how do I get it fixed so that it won't create problem to starter? Any suggestions? Thanks.
  21. Hello members, I have '95 LS400; 91k miles. It started about forty days ago, when I try to start the engine it made "click!" noises and wouldn't start. I thought it was the weak battery so I've replaced my battery to 850CCA and drove it for a month and had no problems since then. But, couple of days ago, it started to make that "click" noise again when I try to start the engine. I had to twist my key 7-9 times to ignite... Q1. Do you think it's my alternator or starter that creates problem? Q2. If replacing the alternator/starter is my only solution, what could be the easiest and cheapest way to get it replaced or fixed? Thank you in advance members.
