  1. When the power window on my SC300 goes all the way down it will not go up right away. If I wait about 30 seconds it will go part way up then stop. Then go again after another wait. I put a volt meter on the wires going to the motor, it's getting power but nothing moves, after waiting 30 seconds it will work again. . I took the motor off, the brushes looked good. The bushing on the top of the shaft was cracked, we machined a new bushing out of a piece of delron. It operated smoother but still won't move when the window goes all the way down. It seems like the pressure sensor is stoping it from going back up.. If I stop the window before it hits the bottom stop it seems to work OK. I ran the motor on my work bench with the regulator off of it and the motor runs good with no load. I have replaced the window regulator, the old one had 2 broken strands on the cable. That didn't help. If anybody has had this problem and knows how to fix it would save the price of a new motor.

  3. I just bought a '99 SC400 with 46K miles. This is my second SC, I also have a '98 SC300. They are great cars. The SC400 runs like a new car with no problems at all. I'm just not happy with the way it shifts. What type of torque converter will work in this car? I've seen alot on this site about the older SC400's, but not much on the 1998 thru 2000 models. Also, does any body know anyc good shops in central Florida that would do trans work on the SC400.
  4. I havea 1998 SC300, it handels better than any other car I have ever owned. I have the oppertunity to buy a low milage SC400. Is there any differance in handeling between the SC300 and SC400?
  5. I was looking for lighter wheels for my '98 SC300, before I go to far I need to how much the stock wheels weigh.
  6. I'm having some old window tint removed from the windshield of my '98 SC300. The person I bought it from had eye trouble and had dark tint on the windshield. Is the orignal windshield tinted?
