  1. Have the battery checked out in detail. I had a similar experience in a Volvo where the power dropped as I stopped the vehicle a few times. Later under gradual acceleration and up a hill all power was lost and the engine quit. This time I could not start the car and had to have it towed. Turns out one of the many plates in the battery had come loose and had touched a neighboring plate shorting out the battery. They tell me the earlier power outages could be attributed to the plates briefly touching but not making permanent contact. The plate support finally gave way and contact between plates was constant rather than occasional. Worth having them check the battery. 136000 miles maybe its time to treat yourself to a new battery. <_< Thank you. The battery is only 18 months old but I guess that is no guarantee. I will swap it over and see what happens. Thank you for the response Ric My Volvo was 4 months old and I suspect the battery not much older. It was just a faulty build and didn't have any issue with length of use. Good luck.

  3. I have an original iPhone (2G) that has the 3.0 OS version. I have not had any problems with the phone connecting to the car via Bluetooth - auto connect works fine, every time. I have not tried to sync the phone book which it sounds like you have done. Any chance the phone and car are trying to synchronize the phone book and it is causing it to fail on auto-connect?
  4. Recently I had the opportunity to drive my 2008 GS 350 AWD and my wife's BMW 530xi on the same day across the same road in excess of 90mph (Yeah, I know I shouldn't but unfortunately circumstances warranted it) and confirmed something I previously only suspected. Does the GS350 experience excessive "lift" at high speed? Not enough down force air flow management to plant the front end with purpose? I had noticed a light feel in the front end after 80 or 85 mph before and figured the drifting steering was just part of the thrill. Has anyone else experienced the drifting front end at speed? Any spoiler fixes to add additional down force and keep the front end in control?
