its the needle.. and now the needle is acting like its supposed to.. slowley goes down over the period of time i drive it. but i wonder how much gas i actually have..like i just used a quarter tank today and yesterday i was at half.. so im at half a tank AGAIN.. so its like.. do i really have half a tank or do i have a quarter below it? ya know..

i dont know whats happening but just today like 20 mins befor i posted this i realized that their maybe a problem with my gas gauge.. i went to the basketball court (witch is like less then 2 miles away) and i had half a tank of gas.. then i went home to drop off the basketball and i was on my way to to take my friend home when i noticed my gas was now almost at full!! and whats really bothering me is yesterday i put in $5 and from empty that doesnt even give me a quarter tank usually, especially with gas being 2,57 here, and when i put that in the needle didnt even move.. and i was frustrated cause i was trying to keep my gas tank at least over half witch didnt happen when i tried with my $5.. im 16 and the car is MINE, therefor i pay for the gas and anything that has to be done to it. and i really hope this isn't a big problem or is a cheap fix. i heard this car is really reliable thats why it was first on the list and its killing me knowing this is happening.. i know problems happen but this is scaring me cause i dont want it to happen where one of these days my car says i have gas but then i get stranded... since i have had this car it has never seen a full tank, so for it to be up there out of knowhere is a shocker cause i know i dont have the money at the moment to be filling it up there, my friend can't drive and my mom was not at the house all day cause she was with her sister at her house doing something. has anyone have had this problem???

i have a 2000 lexus gs300 and i really do not like the sound of it. i already posted on here befor with the pictures of my car and i asked about this.. but noone replyed to the part about how the car sounded. can someone please tell me how i can get more sound out of the exhaust. i dont want a ricer style sounding exhaust i just want more of that v8 growl, is their anything i can do to the car to get that sound? or to make it at least sound meaner? i was thinking headers..? and is it true that drilling holes in your exhaust makes it louder?

you did ask in your 1st post if people like your car...well i would like it if you changed the pink taillights out to the 2001+ models, lowered it, and removed the car from the power washer but ok do we you want with your car....i don't care. are you like 20 btw? seriously not being rude im just asking. where can you check out turbos? or the car? what are you talking about? im not really looking at a turbo except the STS remote mount....but you and i have different cars. i have the v-8 and you have the inline 6.....not very many options for me to turbo but ALOT of options for you to turbo (NA-T,GTE SWAP,etc etc) i've only seen one true gs430 turboed and the guy worked for xs engineering so he just had it custom made uhm ok.. thankss nice to know you dont like the car... common sence for anyone who doesnt like it would just say im not feeling this or that on there... not just straight out say they dont like it cause its not modded.. im gunna be doing those things to it when i get the money to do it. im already drained from buying the car.. and like you dont look at threads and see people saying they dont like other people's car. cause you do like my car. i got it for the same reason you prolly did. and when ours were made they looked exactly alike.. you just threw more money into it, so we now know and everyone who looks at this knows that you dont like their stock gs300/400's cause its stock.. and i am 16 yr's old... and i am sorry i don't have the money to make mine look like yours at the moment.. but i will get there :D and if you spent more time reading the question i asked you would have noticed that i meant to say 'F'or the car... cause that would have made alot more sence then "or the car" thats what im talking about.

Dont get it. a car with that many miles is not worth 7,000. you can find some gs400's with less miles for that amount of money. i got my gs300 for 7,000 with 116,000 miles and i still feel like i got ripped off.. the last owner had the maintainance done on time and everything and had the papers to prove it. mine came with upgraded 19 inch wheels to. id say dont take it. but still look around for a gs300/400 they are very reliable cars. and like me... your gunna love it :]

ok ya so i got a 2000 lexus gs300 just about to weeks ago. im new here. can anyone tell me about the car? mine has 115,000 miles. and everything was replaced at 100,000 miles :) so is there anything to expect? and im thinking about putting on some megan racing headers on it, does anyone have them on and a a vid they could post?? and what exhaust sounds best?? and whats the best intake to get. just stuff like that'd id like to know.. and if theres anything you think i should add to the car feel free to tell me. anddddddd tell me if you like the carr!! thanks
