  1. Thanks for your reply. I went to the local Kingston, Ontario Lexus Dealer. They inspected the bolts. They did not have much to comment other than saying that all others look good. The fix was quite simple. They hummered out the brocken bolt, replaced the new one and charged me for 1 hour work + $1.80 for the bolt. Total with the tax $122.92. I am sure that the bolt was never over torqued.
  2. I own Lexus 250 IS RWD, MT, model 2008. I normally do wheel replacement by myself. During the installation of the wheels with summer tires, which is quite a routine work, I applied, as I always do, a torque of 80 ft_lb to tight the wheel lugs. I was greatly surprised that during this routine work one wheel stud on the rear right wheel broke off before I got even close to the 80 ft_lb torque.. f this did not happen to me I would not believe that it would be possible. Had any one got similar problem in the past? I am now a bit concern that wheel hubs with the wheel studs may have a quality issue which would make my car to be unsafe. The last thing I want is that a wheel comes off while I am driving on a highway with 120 km/h. Any suggestion/comment from the respective Lexus Forum members would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Thanks to all who replied to my question. It seems that IS250 with automatic transmission has no easy way of replacing transmission fluid or replacement of it is not required, however I have IS250 RWD with manual transmission and the owners manual is calling for replacement of the transmission fluid every 64000 km. The common problem of IS250 MT is noise which likely comes from the transmission. My Lexus dealer keeps saying that it is normal which I can not accept. I asked them to do something or as a minimum check or replace the transmission fluid, and I got an answer that it is not necessary since I do have only 16000 km and the oil is not yet to be replaced. I red all writings provided in this forum which are related to IS250 RWD manual transmission noise problem and I found all those very informative, however no one from the forum has reported a successful resolution of this in my opinion serious IS250 RWD manual transmission issue. After all, as a desperate move to do something, I decided to check the fluid, drain it out and then see if there are some particles in the transmission fluid, which may be a result of grinding or rattling I constantly hear driving in low gear or shifting from first to second and second to third gear. Once I find a way to do it properly I will let you guys know my finding (if any). Any suggestion, common or advice from the respectful members of this forum would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Did you buy Lexus TPMS or you got the aftermarket TPMS (Tire Rack offers some)?
  5. Does anyone know how to do transmission oil check or replace oil in manual transmission on IS250 RWD MT? I would like to do it on my own, however I could not find the instructions. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Thank you very, very much Bartkat!!!!! I tried but TIS does not let me subscribe since they can only accept subscribers with a US billing address. Too bad. Does anyone know if there is way to get the maintenance/repair manula for IS250 RWD - 2008 for Canadian Lexus owners?
