yeahh but too late i already bought a 200amp alternator and a new power steering pump :D

ok i was just checking to see if it was maybe a hose leaking. and thanks to this leak i believe my alternator is shot too :(

okay so ive read about the power steering leaking problem. but is there a common place where the leak was found?

Tommy, I believe the wire problem IS400 (the most beautiful thing I've ever seen holding a torque wrench) is talking about pertains to the model years prior to the 1995+ series. I think the little black wire problem was solved with the update done to the LS series in 95'. I think you're ok with your 96'. What part of NC are you from? I was just there last week (Atlantic Beach) for family vacation, and LOADED UP on some sweet Carolina go-go juice (Sun Drop). I had our family 4runner loaded down with 58 - 2 liters, 3 cases of cans, and 3 cases of the oil-can bottles, to bring back to Chicago! If anyone doubts the pulling power of a Toyota V8 engine, then you should have been with us last Friday while going through the mountains of West Virginia while on our way back to sh*tcago. ohhh okay thanks. i was just gonna check it before i went and replaced the alternator. andd im from this litttle littttle town haha

okay so i went outside today and opened my trunk to check for this wiring problem..now im confused because i dont know which wires im supposed to be looking at. when i opened the trunk i didnt see any wires, so i started to take the carpet off the side of the trunk and then i found ALOT of wires, they also split and go to different places. so can anyone help figure out which set of wires im supposed to be looking at? oh and i saw a set going into a red box, is that the one that i need to check?

oohhh jcrome i might not have to get a new alternator, it may just be the trunk wiring thing. :D ima gonna be sure to check that first atleast.. im glad i looked around up here

ahh okay, thats what i was thinking but i wasnt sure. soo what would i need H4, H13? i have no idea what the difference is i was thinking abuot going with the 6000k (diamond-white)

oh yeah im gettin the leak fixed first..but the car wont even charge at all and i found a brand new power steering pump and reservoir for about 200..good deal?

i know man..thanks.. but now i got to buy an alternator, because my power steering is leaking onto it.

ahh yeahh, i thought the symbol would just look cool, ya know? but overall i think it looks pretty good my self.

now all i have to do is get the power steering leak fixed and replace the alternator.then im good to go ohh and get the new avic x910 :D

thankss..yeah i had to do something, cause the seats and foam wer all ripped up. but i really like the look

i got the set from leatherseats.com it replaces the leather currently up there.

well like i said before i talked to the previous owner and he said that he had replaced the battery several times..and each time the battery kept going dead if he let it sit for a day..and also i have a power steering leak like lexfourcam said.. so thats why i was thinking the alternator. but ill get my friend to check it out.

i was looking at the hifonics olympus 12" subs..the type of box im not worried about but it says they should have 2.5cubic feet and i havent found a box that has that...and i was lookin to put them in the trunk of my 96 ls400

does anyone know someone that can custom build them and possibly ship it?

ha yeahh...have you heard anything about hifonics subs? and wow thankss that is def my problem then because i know there is a power steering leak. so ill go have that fixed and my new alternator put on..thanks alot man
