  1. i have been using Rallye Lexus in Nassau county. They have been the best. I have horrible experiences with Manhattan and Massepequa.

I know that they are in the paper all the time too with all the awards they have won for customer service from Lexus. They are also the only Lexus Performance center in the area.

I would check them out if I were looking again and avoid some greif

  2. Initial information is that Rallye Lexus in Glen Cove Long Island is holding a "Lexus/Import Tuner Meet" on May 18th. They are going to have Factory modified F_Sport cars, ISF on display, and supposedly they have an IS250 that is gutted with a Roll cage to show. They also have a few other non Lexus cars listed to show like a Lotus Cup car(??) and a Spec Miata. I do not know what else they have but if a few hundred tuners show up I am sure it will be very cool.

  3. FYI a friend was on another site and found that the Lexus dealer in Glen Cove(Rallye) is having a Lexus Import Tuner meet on May 18th and they will be displaying IS-F's and they say a IS350 with the whole catalog of F-Sport equiptment--I thought this was totally cool that a Dealer would even get into this. From what he said alot of the NELOC guys are already setting up to be their. They said a tech named Billy is the guy with all the info about the event. I think I am going to check it out

  4. Stay away from Rallye if you need service done. I had check engine like on along with Trac light brought it in need new oxygen sensor and decarbonization and new air filter Total bill was 746 out of that 4 hours of labor at 105 an hour. The job took 1 hour they was fast and professional but they lied to me about Book Rate on the mechanic that work on it and they charged me also a apprentice so that’s why it’s 4 hours of labor!! I was so *BLEEP* called Lexus up they haven’t got back to me yet. I had a good prior experience with Lexus of Englewood in NJ.

You said they were fast and professional, they completed everything correctly, fixed your problem, had two people work on it so you would get out quick. So since they did the right thing, fixed your car right and wre fast, they cheated you. Would you have felt better if they made you sit and wait four hours. You get what you pay for. Next time go to a local, drop your car off for two days, let them figure it out, order parts(maybe not from Lexus), hope they fixed the car, pay the same price, but feel better because you feel they did the right thing. Wake up you pay for convinence and knowledge. You have to change your way of thinking. When I am in a pinch and need something done faster than normal in other areas of life(plummers, exterminators, electricians) they charge you extra for getting it done quicker. Here you get that and you complain. Look at it from their point of veiw. They hustle, spend tons of time training and buying special tools so they can knock work our quicker and better, and you want him to get paid less for his expertise. Sounds like you got a government job. In the real world you get paid for your performance and quality, if you want cheap go to Joe's gas station and hope they don't f*up your car.

Sorry for the rant, but I had a customer in my line of work the other day wanting me to give away my talent because I finished his job(and admited by him as excellent) three days early. He now will not pay me the balance of our agreement. So that's what I get for 20+ years of training and skill. People like you..... It is people like you that actually hurt businesses.

  5. Check on your states lemon law. Please note Lexus has it's own abitration and you can call them and ask to the information package. Make sure you have a copy of each Work order from each visit. If they did not give you one ask for a copy. If they still do not produce a copy document the visit and the particulars. Arbitrators hate when dealers dont give copies. It makes it look like they are hiding something. Also not you can still go lemon law even though it is not a factory defect. The lemon law goes back against the dealer, the manufacture will indemnify the dealer if it is a factory issue. If not the dealer will be on the hook for everything. Just to let you know most lemon laws issue are able to be done without a lawyer

  6. Do you know if the car has ever been hit in the rear. My friend had the issue with a body seam in the rear crack after a light hit in the rear bumper. He also went thru multiple visits to the dealer before they found it and althought it was not a warranty repair they helped him out with it

  7. [

Actually I beleive there is a lawsuit pending in the U.S. on behalf of the independent repair shops be able to access the same info (DVD ROMs & online factory repair manuals) as the dealers & I think they will win. B)

actually there was a class action suit but most new car manufactures do allow access to their info. With Lexus you can purchase a "key". It costs around a $1000 a year for the key. I know because I investigated getting one for myself. I think most repair shops wont spend the money. I also think that Lexus has the right to charge for the info. They spend millions on this stuff. I just wish they made up do it yourself manuals like Toyota

  8. Hey , I am on the east coast so I can't help you with a dealer name. But I know the routine for getting a radio fixed. It is a warranty issue and will not cost you anything. They will have to order an exchange unit for you. If you have any relationship with the dealer they will order it ahead of time so it is a one trip affair. Some dealers will make you come in and just to order the unit. Sometimes a phone call to the service manager can save you the second trip

  9. I have used Rallye and have said good things about them in the past. They did the right thing by me. Massapequa was a horror. Just to let you know Massapequa and Rockville Center are the same owner. Manhatten and Bayridge are from the same group. Found this out when I was looking for a new dealer too.

  10. They are both right. 90k on timing belt replacements

60k should get all fluids and fliters including spark plugs.(the rear three are a b*tch to change)

The only dealer that has done the right thing for me has been Rallye. It's not cheap but I have always found they do what they say and have always gone out of their way to help me out when needed. If price is your issue, it is a tough call. Their are alot of hacks out there. I stopped going to my local service because even though he is a nice guy and the price was right he new nothing special about my car. I would go back three times for everything. How much is three days of work lost to you.

  11.

In another thread you may have read my response to a customer slamming Rallye Lexus. I have had horrible experiences at Massapequa and ok service at Smithtown, but every time I went to Rallye they went above and beyond. They've helped me in tight spots without any fanfare. Every time I have gone, and not to just one of their people, any of them. Pam, Sheila are the two main advisors at the counter , Richie is the forman. I even met the manager Andrew to thank him for having such a good crew and keeping them together. Well low and behold I see in the Sunday Newsday an article tooting their horn about being the best dealer in 2004 in NY. I believe it. If you not sure and you live on the Island, try them if no one else is doing the right thing.

PS STAY AWAY FROM ROCKVILLE CENTER. SAME OWNER OF MASSAPEQUA, AND FROM WHAT I HEAR EVEN WORSE. SHAME LEXUS WOULD GIVE THEM ANOTHER DEALER AROUND HERE. I WISH RALLYE HAD ANOTHER SPOT CLOSER. ITS STILL WORTH THE TRIP.

    so there horselady :censored:
