  1. I just don't want to spend the money right now for new struts. I am not going to take out the old ones only to put them back in. So in the end it works out to be real close in price whether I go with coilovers or lowering springs
  2. I guess you guys are right. Just keep it stock and do it right.
  3. I agree with the murdered out Lex. This is why I done it, to set me apart from all the "Grandpa" cars in town. I have considered saving some money and just heating the springs until I get money for the full coilover set. I know it won't ride the greatest, but it will be tucking 20"s
  4. has 191,xxx on the clock. has roughly 84k on the engine and transmission that I put in it just 3500 miles ago. I love the car. I mean, I love looking at it, but I just can't quite grasp the idea of driving a big "gandpa" mobile. I have always had sports cars in my garage. I just picked this one up to try something new. I have been working on these cars for years and everybody loves them, so when I come across the deal on this one, I had to pick it up and fix it up. I just can't get over the fact that it just doesn't handle as good as my Corollas or Supras. That is why I picked up the IS300. I wanted a 4dr sports car.
  5. just priced lowering springs and struts. I think that maybe I will just sell the car before I put much more money into it. I was planning on doing that anyway, then the A/C went out, and I exceeded my budget by replacing the compressor. I have a couple of AE86 Corollas I am fixing up and an IS300 that I want to turbocharge. I think I will just sell the LS if someone was to be slightly interested in it. I just don't know what would be a good price to ask for. I have $8k in it already.
  6. it does need to be dropped about 2" and then roll the fenders. It would look pretty damn sexxxy
  7. Here is my 92 that I have been working on. Finally got my wheels the other day. The A/C went out a couple of weeks ago, so I had to fork out big bucks for another Denso compressor. I have a little more than $8k in her since January. I am finally done. Well atleast until someone donates me a climate control display. I can't see paying $200+ for a display when the controls work perfectly fine. Check it out and leave comments. Sorry my camera doesnt take the greatest pics.
  8. wish i had that interior in mine. mucho props
  9. The ones that i am wanting to get are all black with thin spokes and a very thin stripe of chrome down each wheel. I saw a picture a week ago, but I can't get any pictures or any more info on the wheel until it is released next month. I can't wait, I got my paint work done, tinted the windows, ordered the drop springs, and I am having the stereo(upgraded factory speakers no big subs in the trunk, yet anyways) installed tommorow. Everything will be ready for the wheels by next week. I will post pics of the car after I get the wheels installed. It is kind of *BLEEP*ing me off that I am rocking such a nice car and it has some ugly 15" wheels on it.
  10. I feel like a dumbass. I read that the other day. DUH!!! You have permission to slap me in the back of the head
  11. what offset are you running on your wheels?? I put 20" wheels on a customer's 94 LS yesterday. They came back this morning and the rear rub the fender when you hit a bump (sounds like weak struts to me) But now I worry that if I drop mine 2" or better that I may have similar issues unless I get the backspacing right.
  12. I have a 92 LS and was thinking of installing a set of 20" wheels and then lowering the car to get rid of the space between the tire and wheel well that I believe makes the LS a "granny mobile". I have always enjoyed driving these cars and I would like to give it a more aggressive stance by lowering it anyway. MY QUESTION IS... has anyone done this and know of any problems I may be running into i.e. the wheels making contact with the fender???? I would really like to get an idea of what kind of problems lie ahead before I get all gung-ho doing this.
