  1. We have a 2004 RX 330 that has a significant hesitation or transmission slippage upon acceleration. Problem is intermittent, but also has occurred in situations that we considered dangerous. Has anyone else experienced this problem? We took it to our local dealer today: 1) Service writer explained the "transmission can not slip" 2) We were also told that they would update our "EPU" - it seems that the software being used on some of the 2004 5 speed automatics was actually used on their prior 4 speed tranny and thus an update was made to our software ... I wonder why this has not been done as a matter of policy rather than as a reaction to one's complaints. It was interesting to note on our invoice statement that they qualified their efforts by stating: :( "this repair was done as a onetime goodwill warranty gesture in appreciation of your past and future business." What's up with Lexus? Right on the invoice it says "Raising the Standard of Luxury & Customer Satisfaction. This is our third Lexus (LS400 & SC 430) - all prior cars have been better than great as was the treatment we received. Thanks for listening and would love to hear from you all! Harry
