2001 Ls430 W/ Nav And Mark Levinson Problem

i have a 2001 LS430 with similar problem with the audio head unit. None of the button-controls on the head unit work... The unit still works as the controls in the arm-rest in the back seat still work for changing channels and volume. The touch screen NAV still work... So, I am also interested in recommendations to fix/solve this.
